Project 7
For this project we remixed How to start a revolution. I started by making my own synth and drum parts and then added the vocal parts to the mix. I wanted to make this remix more of a hip hop type song with lots of synths, kind of totally different from the original song. I made seperate synths for the verse chorus and the breakdown parts. I was pretty happy with the way my chorus worked out as the synth worked perfectly with the vocals. I hope you like it.

Good concept here. I especially like the way you segmented the vocal track. Watch the key though. You have a modulation in your main synth that doesn't match the vocal (which stays in E minor). The rhythms are good and the vocal lines up great with your drum track.
ReplyDeleteConsider adding some dimension to your drums by panning or by changing the velocity of some of the notes.
